Safety & trust

Is Plumakids safe for my child?

Here are the controls that exist today, the limits we do not hide, and the approvals still required before the first family invitation. (For the legal detail, see our Privacy Policy.)

A parent-controlled private pilot in Spain

The initial pilot is limited to families in Spain with children aged 9–12 writing in Spanish. An adult owns the account and gives the recorded consent before a child profile is created. We collect account details, a child's first name and age band, creative work, and the operational data described in the Privacy Policy. The consent method and processor safeguards require documented legal approval before the first invitation.

AI features have bounded safety controls

Writing suggestions and generated media use automated safety controls and bounded provider calls. A child remains able to review and edit their work, and a parent remains responsible for reviewing the result. We do not claim that automated moderation is perfect. Public publishing is disabled during the private pilot, so no child story is released through Discover or an anonymous link.

100% ad-free — we don't sell data

There are no ads anywhere in Plumakids, for parents or children. We do not sell family data to advertisers. The private pilot is free and monetization work is paused; no subscription or payment claim is part of Beta-10.

Private throughout the pilot

A child's story is private when created. Discover and anonymous story links are independently disabled by server-side controls throughout the private pilot. Reopening either surface requires a separate Public Sharing Ready review covering moderation, reports, decisions, restoration or rejection, and appeals.

Parent controls, always

Parents create and manage every child profile. There is no cross-family ranking or comparison — only a friendly, private leaderboard between siblings on the same account, if you have more than one child. A parent can review, unshare, or delete a child's stories at any time.

Safety — common questions

What legal scope applies to the private pilot?

The pilot is limited to Spain and is assessed against GDPR and Spanish law. The consent method and processor safeguards must receive the documented legal approval described in the Privacy Policy before the first invitation.

Does a stranger ever see my child's story?

Not through a Plumakids public surface during the private pilot. Discover and anonymous links are disabled independently at the request and service layers.

Is the AI content moderated?

AI features use automated safety controls, bounded requests, and fail-closed behavior on covered operations. Automated checks are not perfect, so child and parent review remain part of the pilot protocol.

Are there ads in Plumakids?

No. Plumakids is 100% ad-free for both parents and children, and we do not sell family data to advertisers.

Can I delete my child's data?

Yes. A parent can delete a child's profile and stories at any time from the dashboard. See our Privacy Policy for the full data-deletion process.

Does the AI ever write content for my child, unsupervised?

The child writes or dictates and can edit each scene. If the child explicitly chooses “skip this part,” the guide may add one marked sentence they can replace. AI also produces a separate polished reading edition; the original draft remains available.
